Man of the match picker
For the weeks when nobody can agree, or nobody deserves it. Names in, one spin, man of the match sorted before anyone has taken their boots off.
Type, paste or delete to change the wheel. It redraws as you go, and your list is kept on this device only. Up to 200 entries.
When a wheel beats a vote
- The vote is tied and nobody will budge.
- You lost nine nil and there is no case to be made for anybody.
- The same player has won it four weeks running and the room has gone quiet about it.
- Half the squad has already left and the ones remaining are voting for each other.
- It is a friendly and the whole thing needs to take ten seconds.
The fairer version: shortlist, then spin
A wheel with the whole squad on it is random, which is fine for a laugh but hands the award to the left back who was substituted at half time. Most clubs get better results by taking nominations first and only spinning between the two or three names that come up.
Delete everyone else from the entries box and you have a shortlist wheel. It keeps the drama of the spin while making sure the winner at least played well, and it ends the deadlock that made you reach for a wheel in the first place.
Running it across a season
Tick Remove the winner after each spin and the same player cannot win twice, which quietly spreads the award around a squad over a season. Youth coaches use it exactly this way.
For an adult side it is usually better left off, because an award nobody can win twice stops meaning very much by about March.
Or let the squad vote properly
A wheel is the tiebreaker, not the system. If you want a real vote everyone can take part in from their own phone, including the ones who went straight home, that is the sort of thing the Fine Club app handles alongside the fines and the kitty.

FAQ
Questions about the wheel
Is it fair to pick man of the match at random?
As the whole system, no, because it ignores how people actually played. As a tiebreaker between two or three nominated players it works well, and it ends an argument that otherwise runs until everybody has gone home.
How do I make a shortlist wheel?
Take nominations first, then delete every other name from the entries box so only the shortlisted players are left, and spin between those.
Can I stop the same player winning every week?
Tick Remove the winner after each spin and each winner drops off the wheel. Hit Reset when you want to put everybody back on.
Does it work for other awards?
Yes. Clear the entries and use it for players' player, most improved, worst trainer, or any end of season award where the vote has stalled.
